In 6 short hours I´ll be on the road again... to make my way back over the "puddle" as one of my professors once called it. This summer has been moving at an unbelievable pace. As soon as finals were over, I jetted home, packed up my things and made an exciting trip to Marcala, La Paz, Honduras. I had planned to keep a blog there, but turns out internet wasn´t quite as reliable as I had assumed it would be. I had the MOST amazing time! Living with a host family, teaching english at the local school (actually the same school my professor went to as a little girl) and did a lot of exploring, learning, and growing while there. One of my explorations happened to be at the "hospital" (not exactly a hospital... but I think it was for Marcala). Apparently, my stomach doesn´t quite get along with the dairy products down there... or something of the sort. Of course it makes me laugh now to think about my groaning and rocking back and forth in that little bed there... but I´m glad to say the majority of the time I was truly enjoying myself, my peers, and the wonderful people there. I don´t believe I´ve ever met such happy people in my life... I wish I would have been able to have kept a blog, to shed a little light on the people and town that I grew to love, but perhaps another day... I´ll go back and relive it all. I´ve been working on a research project for the University since I´ve been back (and been loving every mintue of it... perhaps my nerd like tendencies... aren´t just tendencies... I´m finding that I quite like being a nerd and am perhaps even becoming proud of the label.
Although it has been exciting exploring this new sense of self... I must say that I´m quite excited for my next adventure which starts TOMORROW. Less than 6 hours now. I´m off to Spain once again, this time for a month and a half. I´d tell you "I´m super amped" but I´m exhausted, it´s two AM, and I´m starting my first blog... you do the math. AKA I´M AMPED! Tomorrow and the next day are going to be LOOOOONG, but I´ll try not to complain. And so here it begins, my journeys to here and there. I´d tell you... but it´s that only the wind knows where...
